Lesson Details
Where do you teach?
I teach in Santa Monica, primarily at Ocean View Park. I'm also available occasionally at Reed Park, Clover Park, and Marine Park.
What should I bring to the lesson?
Please bring your racket, water, and a towel.
Do I need to bring tennis balls?
No, I will provide the tennis balls.
Do I have to reserve or pay for the court?
No, the court reservation and fee are included in the lesson fee.
Pricing & Scheduling
What are your rates?
My rates are as follows:
Private Lessons: $150/hour
Semi-Private Lessons (2 people): $160/hour
Lessons for 3 people: $180/hour
Group Lessons (4 or more people): $50/hour per person
What are your rates for Zoom lessons and match analysis?
The same as my lesson rates.
Do you offer a discount if I buy multiple lessons?
I no longer offer package deals.
Do you offer a free introductory lesson?
No.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, please give me at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or schedule changes. Any cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a charge for the full lesson fee.
Will I be charged if it rains?
No, if it's raining and/or the courts are too wet to play, you will not be charged for the lesson.
What forms of payment do you take?
I accept Zelle (preferred), Venmo, Apple Pay, or cash.
Kids' Lessons
Do you teach kids?
Yes! I enjoy teaching kids of all ages and skill levels. Please note: for lessons with 2 or more kids together, a parent must be present.
What is the youngest age you teach?
I typically start teaching children around 4 years old, but it really depends on the individual child's interest level, attention span, and physical development. We can discuss your child specifically to see if they're ready to begin lessons.
Do you use junior tennis balls for kids?
No, I use regular balls for all students, regardless of age.
Additional Lesson Information
How long are your lessons?
Typically 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute and 120-minute sessions if you're interested in more time.
Do you offer half-hour lessons?
Typically no, but I do make exceptions for kids if the session can be scheduled before or after another client's lesson.
Do you use video analysis?
Yes, video analysis is a great tool to assist with technical development.
Do you offer Zoom lessons or match analysis?
Yes, I offer both!
Do you have an ongoing group class that I can join?
I'm happy to teach you in a group setting, but you would need to provide the group.
Do you teach live ball?
Yes, but again, you would need to provide the group.
Lesson Focus & Skill Level
Do you offer hitting lessons or match play as a primary focus?
While there may be some rallying and points to reinforce what we're working on, the majority of the session will be focused on improving and honing your technique. I no longer offer hitting lessons or match play as the main focus.
Can you set me up with someone to hit with?
If I have a student whose level is a good fit for yours, I will connect you.
Do you teach beginners?
Yes! I love working with people of all levels, and I'm especially excited to share my knowledge and passion for the game with those new to tennis.
General/Logistics
Do you travel to other locations outside of Santa Monica to teach?
My lesson schedule doesn't usually allow for traveling outside of Santa Monica, but I will consider it if you have access to a court we can use. There also will be an additional travel fee.

What is your availability?
I teach weekdays between 8 am and 6 pm and weekends after 12 pm.
